So, I'm trying something new. I'm moving my blogging to WordPress. I really like the layout and feel of it. I'm keeping my LiveJournal to keep up with those who are still here and the other groups I'm following.
If you'd like to read up on my life, you can find me @ http://thejoshosaurus.wordpress.com and if that's not enough or too much, you can follow me on twitter @ thejoshosaurus.

Thank god for the internets on campus! Usually I have my MacBook with me in class taking notes anyways, but if I feel that I'm drifting in and out of conscience I sign into our on campus server and surf the web, update profiles, read LJ, etc.

I know you guys really want to know this but Sunday morning, I hurt my left foot. So much that it is rather hard to walk on it. Here’s the entire story:
Saturday evening I realized that the cats’ litter needed to be changed. I looked at the pale of kitty litter and found out that there wasn’t enough. I told my room mate it was her turn to buy the kitty litter. We hop in the car and ride down to bi-lo like 5 minutes before they close. Come home and i go to clean the litter. I walk into my room and it smells like cat pee. WTF?! I look around and sure enough the cat pee’d on my comforter which seeped down through my bedsheets and into my mattress. GREAT!! How do you get cat pee out of your mattress? I washed the comforter and bedsheets and rushed to look up a remedy online for extracting cat urine from your mattress. Some people said that it was impossible while others said that baking soda would do the trick. we had some baking soda! We suppose to be put the baking soda on the urine stain and it would turn yellow. this is how you know that it’s soaked up the urine. it never turned yellow. :o( so I slept on th mattress very carefully as to not sleep on the urine spot.
I promise, this leads up to me hurting my foot.
Sunday morning, I wake up and go to stand and I don’t realize that my left leg is asleep and i can’t feel it. I lose my balance and begin to fall sideways. I quickly decided that i needed to turn so that my butt could catch the fall. When i turned, most of my body turned but my left foot stayed planted on the floor. I twisted my ankle and some how broke no, not broke…ripped the skin apart where the bottom of my toe meets the bottom of my foot and my pinkie toe is either broken or i busted a blood vessel. i can’t tell. it’s all swollen and kind of purple. i can still move it. according to my mother, if i were to go to the hospital they couldn’t do anything for a broken toe. I don’t have insurance anyways. so bleh. I checked it this morning and i swear it looks better from the the top, but where the skin ripped apart it still looks bad. i haven’t put any peroxide on it yet because i have no money to buy any. thanks Bank of America for holding my paycheck. thanks Target for changing banks. ugh…
and to make things worse. i had to park near the career center this morning and walk my way to my first class in University. My class is on the 3rd floor, but you better believe i’m using the elevator.

if you read my previous post, you'll see that i some how hurt my left foot.
my first class of the day is EDUC 2130 with Dr. Jackson. The entire class period, I was obsessing with whether or not i should go to the E.R. If you're my friend on facebook, I'm sorry for all of the status changes. I was beginning to freak out. I think I was freaking out so much that I made myself sick. Anyways, after classes concluded for the day and I was able to take a trip downtown to Pizza Joint, I was able to sit down and thoroughly wash and examine the damage. I've put peroxide, ointment, and wrapped it in this bandage thing and I'm wearing a sock just to be careful with it. My toe is pretty messed up. Not my pinkie toe as I had originally thought. The toe right next to it...woo, I'm glad it didn't tear right off of my foot. The tear is so deep. I'm thinking that after a couple of days of really good care if it still hasn't healed or is healing at the pace I'd like for it to then I'm just going to suck it up and go to prompt care and have to dish out some money.
I think the muscle tore. I can't really move it. I think I'm going to be sick again.

i've been really into watching documentaries lately. the interest took hold of me a couple of days ago and so far, i've been able to watch Who Killed The Electric Car? and I'm going to watch Maxed Out tonight. If you haven't seen the first one, you should. It made me mad, but it was good. There's one that i really want to watch called You're Rejected. It's about a guy who begins to interview and live with people who, according to his religion, are living in sin. Homosexuals, prostitutes, etc...and he begins to realize some internal things about himself that he's rejecting and has some great revelation at the end. There are sooo many i want to watch, it's ridiculous.
i'm looking for another job. i've started to get upset at the fact that i only got a 25 cent raise to do what a supervisor does and gets paid a whole lot more for. one of my favorite people have found another job and is stepping down from their leadership position. it's not really that i'm looking for something that will pay more, which would be nice, but something not as empty....i dunno. we'll see.

the night i finally feel better, i can't sleep. i think it's due to that all week when i did sleep it was for only 30 minutes at a time...sigh
chocolate soy milk is delicious
i feel like i need to change the world or do something to help. when i woke up, i of course got online and the first page that opened was msnbc. i know i shouldn't allow the news to sway me but to make my on opinions on situations. when it comes to natural disasters and things of that nature, there's always a part of my heart that hurts. for instance, the tornados came through the south earlier this week and killed people and ripped homes from others. i feel like i need to do something for them. another instance is the sugar refinery in savannah that exploded. some burn victims were transported to the augusta burn center. i want to help those people. in our school email, there was talk about if we wanted to donate blood directly to the cause we could but it really didn't give further information.
the smell of incense is beautiful
i love an ernje cat very much. i hope her first mommy doesn't change her mind and try to take her back.
i want to read a book but i don't think i want it to be fictional.
i watched across the universe and was touched.
